There are a few things to notice here. One is the recovery in Marrickville with last month's very low clearance rate improving markedly to above the 70% barrier. The other is the lower number of Auctions with only 37 homes put under the hammer in all three suburbs combined. In previous months there have been as much as 20% more properties offered.

This isn't entirely surprising as the final week of September was both the school holidays and a long weekend. Already the numbers for October point to a marked increase in volumes.

Dulwich Hill stayed very consistent and our own offices single-handedly achieved a perfect record for Hurlstone Park. I'll talk a lot more next week about how we have performed in this suburb throughout the year as opposed to other agents.

In summation, we are still seeing a continuation of low seasonal stock keeping clearance rates high despite reduced demand from that experienced earlier in the year.

As expected interest rates were left untouched again this week by the Reserve Bank of Australia. With only one more meeting on Melbourne Cup Day left, 2017 could go down as the first time rates stayed unchanged for an entire year since 2004.

Our Spring selling season continues with the following quality home being put to public Auction this Saturday (7/10/17)

- 3 PM: 65 Dunstaffenage Street Hurlstone Park : 3 B/R Freestanding home + LUG

You can inspect the home fifteen prior and all are welcome to attend. We are also covering all the action on Facebook Live. To watch simply click on the following link here:
