Online questions

A fortnight ago I asked several questions directly related to your experiences, likes and dislikes when looking for a property to purchase.

The response was overwhelming in both quantity and content.

In summary, the most annoying thing an agent does apart from not giving a price range was to provide a guide that subsequently was far away from the end result.

You were pretty much split right down the middle on gender lines when it comes to property videos with the blokes mostly not interested and the ladies only viewing those with good property content and in a relevant format. The biggest dislike here was photo slide shows and the agent appearing too often - what a surprise!

Most people prefer email and face to face communication and view properties mainly on tablets and mobiles but rarely exclusively on the one device.

There was no definitive favoritism over domain.com.au or realestate.com.au when searching nor was there a particular time of the week that was more suitable for the majority to receive property alerts which probably reflects the diverse work schedules we all have today.

Very few of you saw any value in homes advertised though social media and thankfully not one person owned up to being prepared to buy an existing property by only seeing it through such devices as virtual reality goggles. My faith in humanity has been restored, however, I suspect with the way technology is going a different answer may be given by a younger survey group in the not too distant future.

Thank you to everyone who replied, the feedback was much appreciated and enlightening.

That's it from me. Have a great weekend and I'll see you next Thursday.

Regards,
