Sydney Housing Market Update 31/05/2018
Believe It Or Not
Winter kicks in tomorrow and slowly but surely as the days get shorter and colder the stock levels traditionally start to diminish.
For Many Owners
Particularly those families with school-aged children, the middle of the year is a very inconvenient and disruptive time to be thinking of moving and as such the number of homes available for purchasers to view can become quite challenging.
I'll watch closely over the next few weeks to see if this is the case.
Had two fantastic on-site Auctions last weekend with the following properties selling under the hammer:
Take a look at the video links of both Auctions to see all the action.
I have to say
I've been blessed to work with our chief Auctioneer Mr.Peter Baldwin since I sold my first property way back in 1997.
Without being too derogatory of other operators in the industry he's my cup of tea because rather than "shouting" at buyers in a sharp suit with pointy shoes and a rolled up contract, Peter is pretty old school.
He projects his voice, uses excellent diction and allows the property to be the hero, not himself which by the way usually facilitates it selling for the best possible price.
Country born and bred to a Stock & Station Agent father, Peter has that rare quality of adapting to all crowds in all situations. Whether it be a multi-million dollar Eastern Suburbs waterfront, a palatial home in the Noosa hinterland or a fibro shack out in the western suburbs Peter reads the play and delivers the consummate professional's performance EVERY time.
That's why I'm still working with him over twenty years later.
He'll be in action again this Saturday (2/6/18) when we put the following home to the market via Auction:
- 4PM: 16 Starkey Street Hurlstone Park: 2 B/R Freestanding original period home
The property will be open for inspection fifteen minutes prior and you are all welcome to attend. Alternatively, you can watch it on Facebook Live simply by clicking on our page here: https://www.facebook.com/randwmarrickville
